OSINT Atlas

About & methodology

OSINT Atlas is a free directory of official public-record search sites and curated OSINT tools. It is a directory only: it never runs searches, stores records or collects personal data.

What is listed

Public records: 7,406 official government search portals — 7,195 for the United States (courts, criminal and inmate, property, business, political, licenses, vital records and federal tools) and 211 for Canada and the UK. Public-record entries link only to official government or court-run sites, or to the official vendor portal a government uses.

OSINT: 178 third-party tools and guides across 19 topics. Paid people-search data brokers and leaked-data dumps are deliberately not listed.

How links are checked

Every link is re-checked automatically once a week. Each card shows its status: Working, May be blocked (our automated check was turned away by bot protection; the site usually works in a normal browser) or No online search. Broken links are replaced with the official successor where one exists. Source validation last completed: Oct 19, 2026.

Coverage

See the coverage map for which states and counties have listings in each section, and what's new for recent changes (also as an RSS feed).

Suggestions and corrections

Use Suggest a resource in the directory header, or Report a broken link on any card. Suggestions are reviewed before anything is added; public-record suggestions must be official sources.

Use responsibly

This site is not legal advice and is not a consumer reporting agency. Do not use it for employment, tenant, credit or insurance screening (FCRA). Respect each site's terms, privacy and anti-stalking laws. Don't harass, dox or expose people.

Privacy

No accounts and no tracking database. Recent searches and your theme preference are saved only in your own browser.
